REPORT ON CZECH POST-COMMUNIST JUSTICE - IV 2006
On 21st April
2006, after a
five years lasting trial, the Regional Court in Olomouc finally acquitted Vladimir Hucin of 6 remaining points of accusation. Hucin was detained on 7th March 2001 by a
special forces commando and spent almost a year in various prisons.
Vladimir Hucin, as a former officer of BIS (Czech intelligence service)
participated in security clearences for high state officials; and did
not recommend conferment of top-secret level of security clearance f.e.
for Lenka
Sromova and Radim
Obst because of their close
ties to Prerov
communists. Both these state
prosecutors participated eagerly on sabotage of Hucin’s rehabilitation
trials and in the ongoing
trial. State servants
struggled for concealment of whole trial at
any cost. Please
